The majority of our team are fully qualified in dental nursing and have a broad understanding of the services we offer.
They are available to advise you about treatment options and to answer any questions you may have. Their involvement is much more than the immediate personal contact you see. Behind the scenes, they ensure that everything runs smoothly, from cross infection control to accurate record keeping.
We also benefit from specialist qualified dentists who visit the practice regularly to carry out advanced procedures such as sedation, orthodontics and implants.
Dr Samantha Le Sueur
Samantha is a local girl educated at Jersey College for Girls. She qualified at Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ Dental School in 2008. She has worked in both private practice and at the general hospital in the community clinic. She has a keen interest in Advance Facial Aesthetics i.e B:TOX, Fillers, CEREC (CAD-CAM single visit crowns), Invisalign (invisible braces), Domiciliary (nursing home visits). Samantha is very good at treating nervous patients.
Dr Grahame Atkins
Dr Grahame Atkins BDS graduated from University College Dental School, London in 1982 and now has more than 30 years experience in general dental practice. Dr Atkins main interest is CERECS (crowns veneers made in a day) modern CAD / CAM technology including Cosmetic Make overs. Mini dental implants which are state-of-the-art and very affordable dental implants for permanently replacing missing teeth and stabilising loosed fitting dentures.
Nadine started in the dental profession in 1995 then qualified as a dental nurse in 1999 and has gained experience in all areas of private dentistry and hospital dentistry over the years.
As a practice manageress since 2002, she has always taken a keen interest in professional standards and the important regulations of dental practice including cross infection control.
Nadine ensures that the practice runs smoothly and patients interests are put first, many of whom she knows personally from her 11 years experience with Confidence Dental Care.
Dr Ivo Raitchev
Dr Ivo comes from a family with great tradition in dentistry, which was apparent when he qualified from King’s College London in 2008, winning the A.H.R Rowe Prize for excellence in restorative dentistry. Since then, Dr Ivo has completed extensive postgraduate exams to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010.
Although Dr Ivo undertakes all aspects of general dentistry, his chosen area of expertise is in the field of Oral surgery, the placement of implants and smile makeovers. Using the latest techniques in digital dentistry, he is committed to helping his patients achieve a natural, functional and beautiful smile.
He is a genuinely caring, perfectionist by nature with a great understanding of the technical aspects of his work. Dr Ivo thoroughly enjoys his work and spending time with his patients in achieving the best outcome for them. He will take time to explain treatment options and create a relaxed, pain free dental experience. His naturally trustworthy and easy going personality helps patients feel more at ease with any anxieties they may have. He has experience treating nervous patients both in hospital and primary care settings, and is able to offer conscious sedation, having gained his sedation training with SAAD in 2014.
Dr Joe McGill
Joe graduated in 1992 from the University of Glasgow and remained in the city for vocational training in general dentistry. A year of study and clinical training at Newcastle Dental School led to a Masters Degree in Restorative Dentistry in 1994. During a further two years on hospital rotation he was awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery fro…m the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, gaining the certificate for best performance.
In 1996 Joseph was appointed specialist registrar in Orthodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital and Royal United Hospital, Bath and completed his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and an MSc by Research from the University of Bristol in 2000. Joseph offers a full range of treatment options including fixed and removable braces. He may also suggest wires fixed to braces behind the teeth which are less visible such as with the Inman Aligner system.
Dr Andrew Holloway BDS
Dr Holloway graduated from Oxford in 2008 with a degree in chemistry. He then qualified in dentistry from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Dental School in 2014. He worked in mixed practice in Knightsbridge, and privately in Harley Street until 2018, before leaving London for private practice on the South Coast. He now lives in Jersey with his better half, Katie.
Andrew enjoys all areas of dentistry with a special interest in implants, orthodontics, and sedation (helping anxious patients overcome their fears).
By nature Andrew is a very positive and cheerful person. He is also a keen sportsman and enjoys a wide range of sports including cycling, climbing, and sailing.
Dr Thomas Bray
Dr Thomas Bray BDS graduated from the University of Sheffield before entering into private practice. He has recently moved to Jersey with his wife and is looking forward to cultivating long term relationships with his patients and fellow team members.
Thomas’s flare for dentistry was exhibited when he won the National Future of Dentistry Award in 2018. Since then, Thomas has become a graduate of the Ash Parmar Academy, where he developed a keen interest in porcelain veneer smile makeovers and laser dentistry. Thomas plans to take postgraduate study in the field of digital dentistry and is committed to continual professional development.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoys sailing, exploring new restaurants, and playing chess.
Chloe qualified from the University of Essex with a Distinction in Oral Health Science. Over the past two years Chloe has had the opportunity to work within a variety of different placements, within the private sector, NHS practices, dental hospitals and community dental clinics. Chloe is passionate about her role and firmly believes that prevention is better than cure. She prides herself on tailoring her treatment and advice specifically to the individuals needs.
Kirsten began her dental career as a dental nurse in Edinburgh in 1997. The natural progression was then to go on and take the Dental Hygiene course in Edinburgh dental institute which she then qualified in 2003.
Kirsten moved to Jersey shortly after qualifying and has enjoyed living and working in various dental practices for the past 10 years. Kirsten finds the most satisfying part of the job is treating nervous patients and making them feel at ease.
Nurses & Wellbeing Practitioners
Helen has more than 12 years experience in audiology as well as many more years in General Nursing. Since 2012 Helen has worked as a Hearing Aid Dispenser for a major Hearing aid Company. Helen’s philosophy is to provide people with the best hearing aid technology on the market at a price they can afford.
As part of the Confidence team, she can offer this at a fraction of the cost of her competitors with FREE hearing test.
Samantha qualified in Dublin in 1990 with a degree in Design and Marketing. She added Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Professional Make-up and Nouveau Contour Semi Permanent Make-up to her portfolio. She has managed and owned Beauty salons here in Jersey for the past 17 Years. Beauty has advanced so much over the years and Samantha is passionate about educating her clients so they get the best results possible from their skincare regime and treatments.
