Dentures & Bridges in Jersey
Ways to replace missing teeth, from comfortable dentures to fixed bridges and implants. We explain each option and give you a written estimate before anything starts.
At a glance
Three ways to replace missing teeth
The right choice depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of the teeth around the gap and what matters most to you.
Dentures
Removable teeth on a plate. An acrylic denture is all plastic; a chrome cobalt denture has a thin metal base, so it’s less bulky.
Bridges
A fixed false tooth held in place by the teeth on either side of the gap. It stays in, so there’s nothing to take out at night.
Implants
An implant replaces the root of a tooth. It can hold a single crown, a bridge for several teeth, or clip a denture firmly in place.

Dentures and bridges: your questions answered
How much do dentures cost in Jersey?
At Confidence Dental, an acrylic denture starts at £550 and a chrome cobalt denture starts at £995. The final price depends on how many teeth are being replaced, and you’ll have a written estimate first.
What’s the difference between acrylic and chrome dentures?
An acrylic denture is made entirely of plastic and costs less. A chrome cobalt denture has a thin metal frame, which makes it slimmer and less bulky in the mouth.
Should I choose a bridge or an implant?
A bridge is supported by the teeth either side of the gap, which often need to be shaped to hold it. An implant stands on its own, so the neighbouring teeth are left untouched, and it’s easier to keep clean. We’ll talk you through both. See dental implants.
Can implants stop my denture moving?
Yes. A denture can clip onto implants so it stays firm when you eat and speak. Implant-retained dentures are priced individually after an implant consultation (£100).
Does Pension Plus cover dentures?
Pension Plus can pay up to £1,900 every four years towards treatment or dentures for eligible pensioners. See how Pension Plus works, or call us and we’ll help you check.
Do I still need check-ups if I wear full dentures?
Yes. We still check your gums and the soft tissues of your mouth, and our mouth cancer screening is free, including for people with full dentures.
Can you see residents in a care home?
Yes. Our care home service brings regular dental visits and urgent care to Jersey care homes. See care home dentistry.
Can I use my dental insurance?
Yes. You pay on the day and we give you an itemised receipt and written estimates for your claim. We don’t bill insurers directly, but we help you with every step. How claiming works.
